The venture, led by researchers at Michigan State College, seeks to create nearby and regional food programs that can stand up to various simultaneous shocks from severe weather conditions, foodborne pathogens, ailments such as the COVID-19 pandemic, and other unexpected and disruptive situations that can guide to food items scarcity and nourishment challenges.
